The Indiana Supreme Court has approved amendments to the Indiana small claims and trial procedure rules.

The orders, posted Thursday, amend the affidavit of debt in Indiana Small Claims Rules Appendix A and Indiana Trial Procedure Rule 55 Appendix A-2. The orders also amend Small Claims Rule 10, Dismissal and default; and Trial Rule 55, Default. The amendments deal with military service and the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act.

The amendments are effective Jan. 1, 2011. The orders are available on the Supreme Court’s website.
