The Indiana Federal Community Defenders will host a seminar for attorneys interested in joining the Criminal Justice Act panel of attorneys to represent indigent clients accused of crimes against the United States.

The seminar, "A Primer on Defending a Federal Criminal Case," will introduce attorneys to the basics of federal criminal practice, an overview of the CJA, the mechanics of probable cause and detention hearings, plea negotiations, and other matters.

The seminar is from 1:30 to 4:45 p.m. April 24 in the Jury Assembly Room, U.S. Courthouse, 46 E. Ohio St., Indianapolis, IN 46204. It's free, and 3 hours of CLE credit are available. To register, contact Nanci Miller at (317) 383-3520 or [email protected].
