A phone-a-thon for troubled homeowners seeking help will take place June 30 from 5 to 10 p.m. The event, advertised in public service announcements around the state, needs attorney volunteers to answer questions from callers.

According to organizers, three Public Broadcasting Service stations will allow the Indiana Foreclosure Prevention Network to use their phone banks as intake centers for the calls.

Northern Indiana callers will be routed to the PBS station broadcast to the Elkhart and South Bend area, central Indiana callers will speak with someone at the WFYI studio in Indianapolis, and southern Indiana callers will be routed to Bloomington's PBS station.

IFPN counselors, attorneys, and other volunteers will answer the calls. For more information, visit http://www.ifpn.info.

To volunteer for a three-hour shift from either 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., or 7 to 10 p.m., contact Stephanie Reeve at [email protected]. Volunteers will be required to take part in a webinar that outlines the call-in process and necessary information. Those who contact Reeve about volunteering will receive more information about the webinar.
