The Indianapolis Bar Association is gathering items to show appreciation to Indiana National Guard troops stationed overseas. The care packages will be sent to troops to mark Veteran's Day.

Empty shipping boxes are available at the IBA office, 135 N. Pennsylvania St., Suite 1500 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Fill the boxes with items and return the unsealed boxes to the IBA office by Nov. 6. Monetary contributions will also be accepted in order to purchase additional items for boxes. Such contributions should be directed and made payable to the Indianapolis Bar Foundation, earmarked for the "Lawyers Care" project.

Volunteers are also needed to help assemble care packages, which will be mailed Nov. 7. For more information, e-mail [email protected].
