The Indianapolis Bar Association, through its Lawyers Care project, is collecting personal items and food to send to Indiana National Guard troops stationed in the Middle East. Anyone interested in donating items, such as individual packets of snacks, toiletries, medicine, DVDs, and other items may pick up empty shipping boxes from the IBA, 107 N. Pennsylvania St., Suite 200, Indianapolis.

The filled, unsealed boxes must be returned to the IBA by Nov. 3. A list of suggested items to donate is available on the IBA's Web site. Monetary donations are also welcome, and checks may be made payable to the Indianapolis Bar Foundation, earmarked for the Lawyers Care project. Volunteers also are needed to assemble the boxes from 9 a.m. to noon on Nov. 8 at the IBA.

This is the third year the Indianapolis Bar Foundation and the IBA's Young Lawyers Division have funded and coordinated the project.
