Helping attorney is what legal professionals do every day. When a member of the Bar is in need to due a personal crisis like a health issue how do we respond? This is an issue the Indianapolis Bar has been mulling for awhile, and now we believe we have an answer – HEAL (Helping Enrich Attorneys’ Lives).

Created to field inquiries and respond, HEAL would reach out to members of the Indianapolis Bar who have been identified. Volunteers would communicate with the member to determine how the Bar could help (cards, emails, dinner, etc.) and ultimately organize assistance.

“What is needed now are volunteers,” said Julie Armstrong, Indianapolis Bar Executive Director. “Anyone interested in participating in this effort should email [email protected]. This will also be address where we will be taking inquiries for those in possible need.”

An organization meeting will be held in early August.•
