Updated Indiana Trial Court Administration Manual Available
The 2010 Indiana Trial Court Administration Manual is now available online at www.in.gov/judiciary/admin. All chapters of the manual were updated on July 19, 2010, and three chapters were added: Transfer and venue, Mental Health Adjudication Reporting and Criminal Case Judgments and Report of Case Disposition.
Plain English Jury Instructions Now on LexisNexis
The Indiana Model Civil Jury Instructions, written in plain English, are now available through LexisNexis. The new instructions were prepared by the Civil Instructions Committee of the Indiana Judges Association (IJA). The instructions are currently only available through LexisNexis to those with a Lexis.com subscription. In late August or early September the instructions will also be available in book format to Lexis subscribers and at law libraries that carry the book, such as the Indiana Supreme Court library. Feedback Sought on Jury Questionnaire
Two committees have been formed to examine and possibly revise the jury questionnaire used in Marion County. The objective of this effort is to update the questionnaire, streamline how information is obtained and more effectively aid litigators in jury selection. Celebrate the IndyBar’s commitment to diversity at the Diversity & the Law Luncheon on Friday, August 20 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency.
