IU Indy to host environment, energy event

The forum, “National Energy Security: Challenges and Opportunities for the Midwest” at Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis March 25 brings together state leaders, entrepreneurs, and experts to discuss energy security. The event is open to the public and also offers CLE credit.

The event is hosted by the law school’s Environmental Policy Forum and the Richard G. Lugar Center for Renewable Energy. It will feature a discussion of national energy security issues and a review of how those affect Midwestern states. There will also be panels on transit and the power grid.

The forum is from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Inlow Hall, Wynne Courtroom, 530 W. New York St., Indianapolis. Republican Sen. Richard Lugar has been invited to be the keynote speaker during lunch. A reception follows the event, beginning at 5 p.m.

Registration is required and the cost to attend is $25; the cost is $50 for attorney CLE. Students with ID may attend free. Registrations are due by March 15. For more information, visit the law school’s website.
