Though the Bench Bar Conference’s unparalleled educational programming naturally receives top billing, its plentiful non-CLE related offerings are also worthy of being shared and appreciated. From golf to trivia, these activities are vital in creating the casual, relaxed atmosphere that has made the Bench Bar Conference a one of a kind event for 20 years. Check out some of the highlights, and visit www.indybenchbar.org to register!

Golf Tournament

After a cold, rainy spring, it’s likely that hitting the links will stay at the top of many dedicated golfers’ to-do lists throughout the summer. Organized by veteran Bench Bar golfer Bob York and sponsored by Wilson Kehoe & Winingham, the Bench Bar Golf Tournament promises to be the perfect opportunity to tee up a great Bench Bar experience. Golfers will enjoy a day at Champions Pointe, a Fuzzy Zoeller course located in Henryville, Indiana, just 25 minutes from the Bench Bar host hotel in Louisville. Feeling competitive? Cash prizes (and bragging rights) are in store for victorious foursomes. Not a pro? Never fear—golfers of all ability levels are welcome!

Thursday Evening Cocktails & Dinner

The conference’s Thursday dinner option has steadily grown in popularity as attendees, seasoned pros and first-timers alike gather to begin socializing and networking prior to the official kick-off to the programming on Friday morning. Attendees at this year’s dinner, sponsored by Bose McKinney & Evans LLP, are in for a treat as we take over one of Louisville’s newest restaurants, Quattro. Quattro opened up in early 2013 to stellar reviews and features “uniquely fresh flavors and rustic Italian cooking in a beautiful setting and exciting atmosphere.” Get a sneak peek at our dinner experience at www.quattrolouisville.com.

Lighten Up and Laugh Luncheon

In a profession that involves great responsibility and a need for near constant focus and attention, it’s easy to take life a bit too seriously. Nationally renowned speaker Craig Zablocki will help attendees take a lighter approach to life, injecting humor into everyday experiences. Learn more about Craig at www.craigzablocki.com.

Trivia Night to benefit the Indianapolis Bar Foundation

After making its Bench Bar debut in 2012, Trivia Night is back! If last year’s packed room and stiff competition are any indication, 2013’s rendition will truly be a can’t-miss feature of the Bench Bar Conference. Trivia emcees James Bell and Adam Christiansen will have participants laughing as they battle it out to claim the title of IBF Trivia Champions and the traveling Thinker trophy. Plus, all of this fun benefits a tremendously worthy cause—the Indianapolis Bar Foundation. You can’t lose!
