Camm defense attorneys to discuss forensic evidence

Richard Kammen and Stacy Uliana, who defended David Camm against charges of murdering his wife and two children, will join the former state trooper at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law Friday to discuss the role of forensic evidence in his case.

Over the course of 11 years, Camm was tried three times. He was convicted twice, both of which were overturned, for the murder of his family before a Boone County jury acquitted him in October 2013. He has filed a tort claim against Floyd County and county officials, seeking $30 million in compensation for his wrongful incarceration.

Uliana recently spoke to the Indiana Lawyer about her work on the Camm case, saying she saw problems with the evidence against Camm when she started on the case.

The program is being presented by the law school’s Criminal Defense and Wrongful Conviction clinics. One hour of CLE is pending approval. The program is free, but registration is required.
