Attorneys across Indiana will be volunteering their services to help low-income individuals as part of the Indiana State Bar Association’s 2015 statewide “Talk to a Lawyer Today” program.

The annual event which serves as a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., will be held Jan. 19 with sites in each of the 12 pro bono districts. This program gives Indiana attorneys the opportunity to assist other Hoosiers who might not otherwise be able to afford to hire a lawyer.

More than 200 attorneys will be providing 10- to 15-minute consultations to answer general questions and offer legal information. In addition to numerous walk-in sites, the program will also have a statewide hotline at 1-800-266-2581 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for both English and Spanish speakers.
