Terre Haute attorney Stephen L. Williams will receive this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award from the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association. He is being recognized for his distinguished service to the organization and dedication to preserving the rights of the injured.

Williams, of the Williams Law Firm, focuses his practice on personal injury, medical malpractice and wrongful death litigation. He currently serves as president of the College of Fellows of the ITLA. Through this role he works to educate young people on the dangers of texting while driving. Williams also has served on the boards of the Terre Haute Boys/Girls Club, the United Way of the Wabash Valley and his local Big Brothers/Big Sisters chapter.

Williams will receive the award at ITLA’s 27th annual Lifetime Achievement Seminar on May 7.

“Steve is pillar of not only the state trial bar, but also the community at large,” said ITLA Executive Director Micki Wilson. “There are lawyers who are in charge and there are lawyers who lead. Steve leads. It is wonderful that his colleagues will be celebrating his lifetime of leadership by presenting the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association’s highest honor ‘The Lifetime Achievement Award.’”
