Committees seek comment on problem-solving courts, programs

The Court Alcohol and Drug Program Advisory Committee and the Problem-Solving Courts Committee of the Judicial Conference of Indiana are seeking public comment on the new rules governing problem-solving courts and amendments to the court-administered drug and alcohol programs.  

The proposed rules and amendments  include certification standards and procedures, administrative and operational standards, fees for problem-solving courts, and new language requiring the use of the Indiana Risk Assessment System, as well as other amendments for drug and alcohol programs.

Comments will be accepted through May 25 and may be sent to [email protected] or to Indiana Judicial Center, Court Services Division, Attn: Diane Mains, 30 S. Meridian St., Suite 900, Indianapolis, IN 46204-3564.

A public hearing on the proposed changes will be held May 27. The hearing is from 9 to 10 a.m. at 30 S. Meridian St., 8th Floor, Indianapolis.
