IBA: Abrams announced as 2014 IndyBar President

The Indianapolis Bar Association’s Nominating Committee has announced the selection of Jeffrey Abrams of Benesch Friedlander Copland & Aronoff as the 2014 President of the Association. Currently serving as IndyBar’s Treasurer, Abrams will serve as the Association’s 1st Vice President on the 2012 Board of Directors.

The Hon. Robyn Moberly of the Marion Superior Court was named to a two year term as Treasurer. Currently Chair of the Senior Counsel Division, Judge Moberly has previously served as Secretary for the Board of Directors and has chaired a number of committees for the Association.

Five At Large Directors were also selected. Chosen to serve through 2013 were The Hon. Robert Altice of the Marion Superior Court, Jennifer Lukemeyer of Voyles Zahn Paul Hogan & Merriman, John Trimble of Lewis Wagner, William Winingham of Wilson Kehoe & Winingham, and Sally Zweig of Katz & Korin.

The final selection was for Delegate to the American Bar Association House of Delegates. Phil Isenbarger of Bingham McHale, who previously completed an unexpired term of the previous delegate, was selected to a full two-year term.

As determined by previous nomination, the 2012 Board of Directors will be led by President Scott Chinn of Baker & Daniels. Kerry Blomquist of the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence will be President-elect.•
