ICLEO application deadline nears

College graduates eligible for the Indiana Conference for Legal Education Opportunity have little more than two weeks to submit applications to be selected for the 2014 ICLEO Fellowship Summer Institute from June 15-July 25 at Valparaiso University Law School.

ICLEO fellowships are awarded to eligible minority, low-income and first-generation college or limited-English proficiency students who are pursuing a law degree in Indiana. Students who successfully complete the Summer Institute are eligible for an annual stipend of $6,500 to $9,000 for up to three years upon enrolling in an Indiana law school.

The six-week summer institute is an intensive program that immerses participants in first-year law school curriculum and skill courses that simulate the law school experience. The program was established in 1997 at the urging of former Chief Justice Randall Shepard and has since assisted more than 300 people complete law school.
