This CLE program will address traditional and contemporary privacy issues. We will focus on sources of privacy protection laws under the United States Constitution as well as a host of federal statutes protecting privacy of health care, financial, and consumer information. At the same time, we will address challenges presented to individual privacy in the current era, including the recent governmental rules and practices which have jeopardized individual privacy.
