10:45 a.m. 71S04-1308-CR-535. A glove found at the scene of a burglary contained Martin Meehan’s DNA. Following a jury trial in the St. Joseph Superior Court, Meehan was convicted of burglary and of being an habitual offender. The Court of Appeals reversed on grounds there was no evidence that would support an inference that Meehan’s DNA was found on the glove because he handled it during the burglary, as opposed to some other time. Meehan v. State, 986 N.E.2d 371 (Ind. Ct. App. 2013), vacated. The Supreme Court has granted a petition to transfer the case and has assumed jurisdiction over the appeal.
