The 2010 session of the Indiana General Assembly wrapped up Thursday with Gov. Mitch Daniels signing the remaining legislation
pending before him. This week, the governor signed into law Senate Enrolled Act 224, SEA 399, and House Enrolled Act 1271.
SEA 224 deals with electronic dissemination of indecent material, and includes provisions on how registered sex-offenders
can remove their names from the registry if they qualify. SEA 399 addresses fines for moving violations and puts caps on the
amount that someone who commits a Class C infraction may be required to pay. HEA 1271 allows for the establishment of problem-solving
courts, such as a drug court or veterans court.
