Betsy Brockett, managing editor, joined Indiana Lawyer in March 2002. She has worked at newspapers in Indiana and Virginia, primarily covering the police, courts, fire, and government beats. Because of her small-town roots, she also was often named agriculture editor/reporter. Betsy also has worked as a freelance writer and public relations consultant. She’s won several writing and photography awards from the Hoosier State Press and Associated Press Managing Editors associations.
Betsy grew up in Winamac, which hosted the Ford Pinto trial when she was in high school. She earned her bachelor’s degree at Franklin College and also studied at Acadia University in Nova Scotia.
