Indiana Lawyer Trial Report Form

Indiana Lawyer will not accept for publication any case summary for our Trial Reports section that does not list the names of all attorneys involved, including the name of the case and the cause number. Trial reports that do not adhere to this policy will not be published.

There are two exceptions:

The name and cause number of a case involving a sexual assault or molestation may be withheld.
The name and location of practice of a physician involved in a medical malpractice settlement may be withheld. In medical malpractice settlements bound by confidentiality agreements, that portion of the agreement binding the parties to secrecy must accompany the report form. It will be used for verification purposes only.

Attorneys submitting trial reports to Indiana Lawyer must submit the report to opposing counsel for approval, and the submitting attorney’s signature will be required on the report form certifying that. Opposing counsel who object to the trial report need to contact the attorney who wrote it. Objections will not be refereed by Indiana Lawyer staff members. Contested trial reports will not be published.

Also, the name of the attorney submitting the report will be published with the report.
