An Allen Superior judge and a Louisville journalist received the Community Relations Committee awards this year from the
Indiana Judges Association.
Allen Superior Judge Nancy E. Boyer was recognized for her work with the Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Program in Allen
County. She was a leader behind the program, and within the first four months, helped 18 homeowners avoid foreclosure. This
helped save the county at least $720,000.

He used the Indiana Judicial Service Report to review trial court statistics.
Also at the 2011 judicial conference, Knox Circuit Judge Sherry B. Gregg Gilmore received a certificate from the Indiana
Master’s Certificate Program, and Johnson Superior Judge Cynthia Emkes and White Circuit Judge Robert Thacker were honored
for their long-time service on the bench. Thirty-four judicial officers also received an Indiana Judicial College certificate.
