The Indiana State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section recently was recognized for its work with two awards at the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division annual conference Aug. 6 in Toronto.

The YLS received second place in its division in the “service to the public” category for its “Young Lawyers Serving Hoosier Seniors” community service projects in Indianapolis and Valparaiso. The section also won second place in the “comprehensive” category for its broad range and number of programs and services offered to members and the public, such as the annual Judicial Reception and “Santa’s Been Sued” Christmas program.
