Case Information: Plaintiff Becky Grande was arrested on a bench warrant following a car accident in which she broke her right arm. She was treated at Wishard Hospital with a temporary splint and told she needed surgery to repair the fracture. She was then released without surgery and transferred to the Arrestee Processing Center, where she was fingerprinted. During the fingerprinting, her radial nerve was damaged, causing her to lose control of the movement of her wrist. Surgery was later required to restore movement of her wrist.
