Members of the Indiana legal community gathered at the federal courthouse in Indianapolis on Sept. 8 for
the investiture of U.S. Magistrate Judge Denise K. LaRue as the Southern District of Indiana’s newest magistrate. Chief
Judge Richard Young administered her formal swearing in before she donned her judicial robe, marking the ceremonial beginning
of her term. She was selected by the District judges in February and began her duties in March. This is a new position, created
last fall by the Judicial Conference of the United States. (IL Photo/ Perry Reichanadter)
