Attorneys looking to pay annual license fees have been met with an error message on the Indiana Appellate Clerk’s online portal this week.

A message on the website says the portal is experiencing technical difficulties and is temporarily unavailable. State court officials launched the revamped registration portal Aug. 1.

Dave Remondini, chief deputy executive director of the Division of State Court Administration, said the division, along with its IT services provider, is testing some updates to the portal that were made to resolve performance issues experienced when the site was deployed.

“We want to be sure that the performance meets the requirements before activating the system again,” he said.

A message will be sent to all attorneys whose registration is pending when the site is brought back online in the next day or two, Remondini said.
