The Supreme Court of the United States has refused to take a case asking whether Indiana’s judicial canons constitutionally
infringe on the free speech rights of those on or vying for seats on the bench.
An order list released by the nation’s highest court this morning shows that the justices denied the petition on Friday
in Torrey Bauer, David Certo, and Indiana Right to Life v. Randall T. Shepard, et al., No. 10-425. That decision
means the state’s judicial canons are constitutional.
