U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Clarence Thomas is at Notre Dame Law School Tuesday and Wednesday as the Judge James J. Clynes Visiting Chair. He will visit several law classes and speak with students and faculty.

Thomas joined the Supreme Court of the United States in 1991 after being nominated by President George H.W. Bush. He received his J.D. from Yale Law School in 1974.

The Judge James J. Clynes Jr. Visiting Chair in the Ethics of Litigation within the Judicial Process is named after Notre Dame alumnus Judge James J. Clynes Jr. (1945).
