Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller defeated Democratic candidate Kay Fleming and will remain attorney general for four more years. More than 1.3 million votes were cast in favor of Zoeller. Fleming received more than 952,000 votes, according to unofficial results from the Indiana Secretary of State’s website Wednesday morning.

Fleming has worked both in private practice and for the government. In 1993, she was the first chief counsel for the Indiana Gaming Commission. She later practiced at Ice Miller and then started her own firm, Fleming Stage.

Before being elected attorney general in 2008, Zoeller, a Republican, served as the chief deputy attorney general under Steve Carter from 2001 to 2008.
