The Indiana Supreme Court's electronic Citation and Warning System won first place in the Cygnus 2008 Innovation Award for Software at the International Association of Chiefs of Police Conference in San Diego earlier this month, the court announced today.

The e-ticketing system allows police officers to electronically print tickets at the time of the traffic stop. In the future, the e-ticket system will give officers access to up-to-date records in the field. The system previously received honorable mention awards from the Center for Digital Government and the Information Integrity Coalition.
