Governor Mitch Daniels has appointed Brian G. Poindexter as judge of the Carmel City Court. Poindexter replaces Judge Paul Felix, who was elected judge of the Hamilton Circuit Court.

Poindexter currently serves in the Marion County Prosecutor's Office and previously practiced at Harrison & Moberly in Indianapolis. His appointment becomes effective Jan. 1.
