The Indiana Supreme Court will visit Indiana University South Bend and Notre Dame Law School Monday to hear arguments in two cases, including one in which a teen was sentenced to life without parole for murdering his brother.

The justices will hear Andrew Conley v. State of Indiana, No. 58S00-1011-CR-634, at Indiana University South Bend at 1 p.m. EST. Conley pleaded guilty to killing his brother in 2010 when Conley was just 17 years old. He claims his sentence of life without parole is inappropriate. Arguments will be in Recital Hall, Room 158 of Northside Hall.

At 3:30 p.m. EST, the justices will be at Notre Dame Law School to hear Jerrme Damar Cartwright v. State of Indiana, No. 82S01-1109-CR-564. Cartwright was convicted of attempted battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated battery and possession of a handgun by a felon. The Indiana Court of Appeals reversed on grounds that the jury was unfairly selected. Arguments will be in the Patrick F. McCartan Courtroom, 1170 Eck Hall of Law.
