IndyBar: Health Care & Life Sciences Section Kicks Off Rebranding with Half-Day Seminar

  • Print

Spurred by recent growth in the Indiana life sciences industry and by the natural nexus between the health care and life sciences sectors in Indiana, the IndyBar Health Care section expanded its focus in 2013, becoming the “Health Care & Life Sciences Section.” In recognition of this expansion, the section will present “Expert Insights on Fraud & Abuse, Government Investigations & Regulated Research in Health Care & Life Sciences,” a half-day continuing legal education program Nov. 5, to be followed with a private beer tasting with local craft brewery Flat 12 Bierwerks.

The section has assembled a group of expert in-house counsel and private practitioners in the health care and life sciences field for the program, which will focus on fraud & abuse, government investigations, and regulated research. Each session will feature a private practitioner and an in-house counsel with deep experience in their respective fields and will offer practical insights into cutting edge areas of healthcare and life sciences law.

Brewers from Flat 12 Bierwerks will offer a guided tasting of their locally brewed craft beers following the program, letting attendees choose from among their favorites for two pints, which are included in the registration fee. Light appetizers will also be available.

This program offers 4 hours of General CLE credit, including 1.5 Ethics. To view the full agenda and to register, visit indybar.org.•
