The Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission brings charges against attorneys who have violated the state’s rules for admission to the bar and Rules of Professional Conduct. The Indiana Commission on Judicial Qualifications brings charges against judges, judicial officers, or judicial candidates for misconduct. Details of attorneys’ and judges’ actions for which they are being disciplined by the Supreme Court will be included unless they are not a matter of public record under the court’s rules.

Suspension
Gary Michael Selig, of Marion County, has been suspended for 30 days by the Indiana Supreme Court for violating Indiana Professional Conduct Rule 8.4(b) and Ind. Admission and Discipline Rule 23(11.1)(a)(2). Selig was convicted in September 2003 of Class C misdemeanor operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of 0.08 or more. He did not report this conviction to the Disciplinary Commission. In March 2013, he was convicted of Class C misdemeanor OWI with a BAC of between 0.08 and 0.14.

The Nov. 27 order stays the suspension subject to completion of at least six months of probation with JLAP monitoring. The costs of the proceeding are assessed against Selig.

Reinstatement
Bruce A. Carr, of Porter County, has been reinstated to the practice of law in Indiana, per a Dec. 5 order. The Indiana Supreme Court imposed reciprocal discipline after Carr was suspended from practice in Illinois in April. He has since been reinstated in Illinois.•
