Members of the Evansville bench and bar tested their knowledge of minutiae and raised money for legal services during the Evansville Bar Association’s annual Trivia Night.

Funds raised during the popular competition have been tallied with the total topping the previous years’ results. The October event brought in $5,605.50, more than the $5,535 raised in 2013 and the $4,700 collected during the first competition in 2012.

Money from the contest is divided between the Volunteer Lawyer Program and the Legal Aid Society of Evansville.

A team dubbed “Kahn Artists” from the law firm of Kahn Dees Donovan and Kahn won the trivia tournament and received a $500 cash prize which the team donated back to the nonprofit legal service organizations.

The event is sponsored by the EBA’s Access to Justice Committee and the Evansville Bar Foundation.
