IBF Scholarship Deadline April 1

Applications are now being accepted for three academic scholarships and four educational scholarships from the Indianapolis Bar Foundation (IBF), the charitable arm of the IndyBar. The IBF awards academic and educational scholarships to deserving law students annually as one way of carrying out its mission-to advance justice and lead positive change in Indianapolis through philanthropy, education and service. Good news for those suffering from spring fever—golf season is quickly approaching, and here’s an outing you won’t want to miss: Mark your calendar now for the 2015 Indianapolis Bar Foundation Lawyer Links Classic, to be held Thursday, July 16 at the Country Club of Indianapolis. Registration will be available in April.

Make a Difference: Low Asset Will Workshop Volunteers Needed

Low-income individuals are more likely to die younger and without wills or advance directives in place—but you can help. Attorneys, paralegals and law students are needed as volunteers at each site to do intake, conduct private legal consultations with qualified applicants, draft paperwork and witness document signing at the IndyBar’s Low Asset Will Workshops on May 6 and 7. Your Chance to Help 700+ Neighbors

Both attorneys and paralegals are needed to assist the public with legal guidance during the Spring 2015 Ask A Lawyer program, the IndyBar’s largest legal advice program, on Tuesday, April 14. IndyBar Office Closing

Please note that the office of the Indianapolis Bar Association and Foundation will be closed on Friday, April 3 in observance of Good Friday. The office will reopen with normal business hours at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, April 6.•
