Seven students from three Indiana law schools have been named 2016 Carr L. Darden Conference for Legal Education Opportunity program interns.

These students will be assigned to the following Indiana Court of Appeals judges for a 10-week paid internship:

  • Kelly Coleman, Valparaiso University Law School, Judge Michael P. Barnes;
  • Evan Dominguez, Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, Judge L. Mark Bailey;
  •  Kendra Harper, IU McKinney, Judge James S. Kirsch;
  • Hanna Kim, Indiana University Maurer School of Law, Judge Robert R. Altice Jr.;
  • Kaweme Ng’Andwe, IU McKinney, Judge Rudolph R. Pyle III;
  • Nicole Shelton, IU McKinney, Judge Terry A. Crone; and
  • Boyu Wang, IU Maurer; Chief Judge Nancy H. Vaidik.

ICLEO assists Indiana minority, low-income or educationally disadvantaged college graduates pursue a law degree and a legal career. The internships will immerse students in the court’s daily work and provide site visits to state and federal courts, and prosecutor and public defender offices.

This year’s ICLEO class is the 19th for the program, which in 2012 was named in honor of Court of Appeals Judge Carr Darden, who now serves as a senior judge. More information about the program is available here.
