The recount to confirm the winner of the Democratic primary for southwestern Indiana's congressional seat starts Thursday.

The Indiana Secretary of State's Office says the recount will start at the Clay County Circuit Court Clerk's Office in Brazil for the 8th Congressional District. Tallying also will take place at the Vermilion County Circuit Clerk's Office in Newport and the Parke County Circuit Court Clerk's Office in Rockville.

Results showed Ron Drake leading former state Rep. David Orentlicher by 68 votes out of nearly 60,000 cast for the May primary. The winner will face Republican Rep. Larry Bucshon in the November election.

Bucshon is seeking a fourth term in Congress.
