Prosecutors intend to seek sentences of life without parole for two 24-year-old men facing murder, theft and other charges in the slayings of three people in northwestern Indiana.

Newton County Prosecutor Jeffrey Drinksi filed a motion last week seeking the life sentences and adding charges of murder while committing a robbery and murder while committing a burglary against Sebastian Wedding of Lake County and Derrick Cardosi of Sumava Resorts, an unincorporated community about 35 miles south of Gary..

Cardosi pleaded not guilty to the new charges Wednesday. Wedding is set to hear the new charges against him Friday.

The bodies of 20-year-old Justin L. Babbs, 23-year-old Richard Thomas and 39-year-old Kimberly Spears were found Aug. 28 in a home in Sumava Resorts. A coroner says they were stabbed multiple times.
