A panel of the Indiana Court of Appeals traveled to Terre Haute today hear oral argument in a case involving murder, attempted murder and armed robbery.

In the case of Jaquisha Love v. State of Indiana, 18A-CR-01410, Love was convicted of one count of murder, five counts of attempted murder, and one count of armed robbery for her role as an accomplice in a two-day crime spree. Love, who was 18 at the time of the crimes, was sentenced to 130 years.

She appeals her attempted murder conviction, arguing there was a lack of proof of her specific intent to kill. She also is appealing her sentence, claiming it is inappropriate pursuant to Indiana Appellate Rule 7(B) when considering her age, character, and the nature and circumstances of the offenses.

Judges John Baker, Margret Robb, and Robert Altice are scheduled to hear the case today at 11 a.m. EST at Indiana State University in Terre Haute.
