BREAKING: Senate confirms Jon DeGuilio for judge

The U.S. Senate today confirmed the nomination of Jon E. DeGuilio for a judgeship on the U.S. District Court, Northern
District of Indiana, according to Sen. Evan Bayh's office in Washington, D.C.

Senators confirmed DeGuilio for the seat just after 5 p.m. by a voice vote, Bayh spokesman Brian Weiss told Indiana Lawyer.
President Barack Obama had nominated DeGuilio in January to succeed Judge Allen Sharp, who died last summer after about two
years of senior judging.

Weiss did not immediately know if the Senate planned to vote today or anytime soon on the state's other two judicial
nominations pending for the Southern District of Indiana – U.S. Magistrate Judge Jane Magnus-Stinson and Marion Superior Judge
Tanya Walton Pratt. Both were also nominated in January and await a full Senate vote.
