Dyer firm replaces stolen Boy Scout money

A northwest Indiana personal injury law firm has replaced the cash stolen from a Boy Scout troop at the Popcorn Festival in Valparaiso earlier this month.

The NWI Times of Indiana reports that on Sept. 13 Wruck Paupore, headquartered in Dyer, presented Boy Scout Troop 920 with a check for $3,500, the amount stolen from the troop’s tent the previous weekend.

“We read the story in the newspaper,” partner Don Wruck told the paper. “What type of person steals fundraising money from the Boy Scouts?”

The law firm is also offering a $1,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the theft.
