Volunteers are needed to serve as judges for the moot court and mock trial competitions to be held as part of the Midwest Black Law Students Association’s conference next month in Indianapolis.

Students from law schools across the Midwest will be coming to the Circle City for the Midwest Region’s 2015 Regional Convention Feb. 18 through 21. The goal of the conference is to give students resources to enhance their professional and academic careers.

During the conference, students will be competing in the regional rounds of the National Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial and Frederick Douglass Moot Court competitions. Finalists will advance to the national competition in Portland, Oregon.

Members of the Indiana bench and bar are needed to help with the moot court and mock trial competitions. Slots for volunteers are available for morning and afternoon rounds on Feb. 19 and Feb. 20, and for morning rounds on Feb. 21.

Any lawyer or judge interested in volunteering should contact Jacqueline Newsome at [email protected]. For more information on the conference, visit http://www.nblsa.org/mwblsa.
