Civil. Affirms prison’s “honor program” does not discriminate against prisoners after Terrance Flynn filed a motion saying he was being treated unequally as compared to those prisoners who are in the program.

Indiana Tax Court
Nick Popovich v. Indiana Department of State Revenue

Tax. Grants summary judgment for nick Popovich on a proposed assessment by the Department of Revenue after it found the DOR’s assessment was not timely. Denies either party summary judgment on whether Popovich was a professional gambler, as there are genuine issues of material fact.

Miscellaneous. Reverses and remands order denying Paul Angel’s motion to establish redemption amount, finding Angel is entitled to recover from Townsquare Media under Ind. Code 6-1.1-25-12. Remands for determination of amount Angel is entitled to recover.

Post conviction. Affirms Tyrone Goodman’s denial of post-conviction relief.

Jose Carreno v. State of Indiana (mem. dec.)

Criminal. Affirms denial of post-conviction relief, which challenged Jose Carreno's plea to possession of a controlled substance. He did not receive ineffective assisstance of counsel.

Kathryn Arnold v. Dennis Arnold (mem. dec.)

Civil plenary. Affirms judgment in favor of Dennis Arnold’s ejectment claim and against Kathryn Arnold’s adverse possession counterclaim.

A.C. James Jr. v. Allen County Sheriff's Department, et al. (mem. dec.)
02A03-1509-CT-1365
Civil tort. Affirms summary judgment for the sheriff’s department on A.C. James Jr.’s claim the sheriff failed to transfer in a timely fashion inmate account funds to his attorney. He did not comply with the Indiana Tort Claim Act.
