Sixty teachers from schools in 35 Indiana counties will take part next week in a court education and history program sponsored by the Indiana Supreme Court and the Indiana Historical Society. Judges and lawyers nominated the educators earlier this year.

Teachers will take part in a workshop Wednesday to learn about the court and gain teaching tools while improving their knowledge of Indiana history and government. The teachers also will attend oral argument in the Supreme Court case, KS&E Sports, et al. v. Dwayne H. Runnels, concerning potential liability for a gun dealer involved in a straw sale of a weapon used to shoot an Indianapolis police officer.

Teachers participating in the program are listed here.
