Attorney resigns amid misconduct allegations

A Greenwood attorney has resigned from the Indiana bar after facing an investigation by the Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission.

In an order posted Friday, the Indiana Supreme Court accepted the resignation of Courtney Williams Krudy, effective immediately. Krudy tendered her resignation pursuant to Indiana Admission and Discipline Rule 23(17), which requires an acknowledgement that there is presently pending an investigation into allegations of misconduct against which Krudy could not have successfully defended herself.

As a result of her resignation, the investigation into Krudy’s alleged misconduct will be dismissed. Krudy will be ineligible to petition for reinstatement to the Indiana bar for five years, and if she petitions for reinstatement, her alleged misconduct may be addressed.  Further, her reinstatement is discretionary and will require evidence of her remorse, rehabilitation and fitness to practice law.

The costs of the proceedings will be assessed against Krudy. The full order can be read here.
