The Indiana Court of Appeals “Appeals on Wheels” program will take the state’s second-highest court to Valparaiso this week.

An appellate panel of Judges John Baker, Margaret Robb and Terry Crone will hear arguments in the case of Todd A. Stigleman v. State of Indiana, 89A01-1608-CR-01783, at 1 p.m. CST Friday at Valparaiso University School of Law.

Todd Stigleman was charged with 14 counts related to interactions with his estranged wife and alleged to be a habitual offender. He was found guilty of all charges, but the trial court entered judgment of conviction on four counts of Class A felony kidnapping and two counts of Class C felony stalking.  Stigleman was sentenced to an aggregate of 76 years, and he now appeals, alleging various errors and that his sentence is erroneous and inappropriate.

After the oral arguments, the appellate panel will take questions from Valparaiso law students, though not about the Stigleman case.
