A suspended Decatur lawyer who faces multiple disciplinary charges — including for accusations that she signed a judge’s name on a phony divorce order and sent emails posing as a deputy prosecutor — has again been suspended for failing to cooperate with investigations.

Jill N. Holtzclaw has had three attorney discipline cases opened against her since April involving at least five grievances, according to court records. She was suspended in July  after Adams County authorities charged her in February on allegations that she forged a judge’s signature and falsely claimed to a client that forwarded emails were from a Huntington County deputy prosecutor.

According to the Adams County Clerk’s office, Holtzclaw is scheduled to stand trial Feb. 4 in Adams Superior Court on a count of Level 6 felony forgery.

The Indiana Supreme Court on Friday imposed an additional suspension on Holtzclaw for her noncooperation with two investigations. The disciplinary commission sent letters to Holtzclaw in July, ordering her show cause why she should not be suspended for noncooperation with two investigations that each are based on two grievances. She responded to neither letter, according to the order.
