IndyBar Mourns Loss of Past President Gary Klotz

The IndyBar is saddened to note the passing of 2004 Indianapolis Bar Association President Gary Klotz on Sunday, December 16. Klotz, a longtime partner at Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP, was admitted to the bar in 1978 and had retired from the firm at the end of 2017.

Zionsville attorney Kirk Horn dies at 55

Zionsville attorney Kirk Allan Horn, 55, died on Friday, August 3. Visitation and a celebration of life service are planned later this week.Horn began his career as a Marion County Probation Officer after graduating from Hanover College with a degree in psychology. The position inspired his lifelong passion for law and public service, spurring him to receive a J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law.

IU McKinney’s Lawrence Jegen leaves legacy of teaching

Lawrence Jegen III, longtime professor at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, built a national reputation as one of the foremost experts in tax law, offering his insight to lawyers, accountants, elected officials and the Internal Revenue Service, but he spent much of his professional life in the place he most loved — the classroom. Jegen, 83, died at his Indianapolis home May 17 after an illness.
