John Maley, current IBF President, said of Babbitt’s selection, “Robin commitment to supporting the profession and his ability to think strategically is just what the IBF needs as we move into the next decade.”

Appointed as Counsel to the Board by then IBF President Chris Hickey, Babbitt joined the IBF Board of Directors in 2006. He was selected as a Distinguished Fellow of the Foundation in 2003.

“Robin has been an extraordinary supporter of the Indianapolis Bar for a long time. He will be a great leader of the Foundation next year,” said Phil Genetos, partner at Ice Miller and chair of the IBF Nominating Committee.

Practicing in the areas of administrative law, toxic torts, professional liability defense, products liability and business litigation, Babbitt will bring over 30 years of experience in our legal community to the helm of the IBF. His term will begin January 1, 2011.•
