Some of the federal courts in both of Indiana’s districts are closed because of the inclement weather.

The Southern District of Indiana’s Indianapolis division closed at 1 p.m. today and a decision has not yet been made about Wednesday, according to court spokeswoman Doria Lynch. The Terre Haute court is closed today and no decision has yet been made for Wednesday. Both Evansville and New Albany remain open.

The Northern District of Indiana closed its Lafayette division today, and staff there couldn’t be reached to say whether a decision has been made about Wednesday. The divisions in Hammond, Fort Wayne, and South Bend remain open as of early afternoon and clerk’s office staffers suggest checking the courts’ website for updates.

The Southern District’s website is http://www.insd.uscourts.gov.  The Northern District’s website is http://www.innd.uscourts.gov.
